The first Applebee's opened in November 1980 in Decatur (Atlanta), Georgia. Featuring a popular adult menu with convenient, quick service in a casual, relaxed atmosphere, Applebee's offers customers an alternative to traditional full service restaurants. THE BLOOMIN’ APPLE/HEARTLAND APPLE

In 1998 Kevin Allardice, Marianne Allardice and Andrew Robertson established The Bloomin’ Apple/Heartland Apple, headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina. They purchased 4 Applebee’s restaurants in Illinois and Wisconsin. They have since grown into 19 locations.

With over 35 years restaurant experience behind them, they have built a company based on the very principles stated in our Mission Statement: to be the employer of choice, to exceed our guests’ expectations and to grow and create opportunities within our company.  This is still the foundation of the company today which enables us to continue succeeding in the restaurant industry for years to come.
